NFT Discovery #1: Mizuri

Take Flight and Rise above the Clouds!

Welcome to the universe of Mizuri, a great digital artist from Melbourne, Australia.

1. What inspired you to become an artist?

I was always a creative person growing up. I would draw in my school books and visual diaries in my spare time. When I was around 14, I started following a bunch of amazing comicbook artists on social media, which constantly inspired me to do my own drawings and take art more seriously. I suddenly wanted to learn more about how they created such visually stunning works of art. To this day, I continue to be inspired by the talented artists around me in the industry and try my best to learn and improve from them.I was always a creative person growing up. 2. Please tell us about one artwork which, you are proud of.

I am constantly trying to improve my art and my skills. A piece I’m proud of would be my recent Gotham 2049 artwork which was a mashup between Gotham City and Blade Runner 2049. I’m proud of this piece because it is a culmination of all my art skills put into one, from 3D, Photobashing and Digital Painting. I’m also a major fan of the Batman and Blade Runner franchises.

3. What main statement did you want to make with that artwork?

I rarely think of the statement of my artwork beforehand, as I like to let my imagination loose and just create. However, I wanted to capture that same dystopian future of Blade Runner whilst also exploring it’s similarities to Gotham City. It can be argued that both are fuelled by crime, corruption and chaos.

4. What else you wanna tell us about your art?

I’m always trying to improve and develop my skills altogether. I’ve been using Photoshop everyday for the past 5 years, and at the moment, I’m working on my 3D skills to create beautiful renders. I hope to figure out a great workflow in order to bring to life my ideas onto the canvas as best as I can.

5. How do you see the future of NFTs?

Moving forward, I feel like NFTs will only become bigger. It will spread into different industries and continue to allow creators to focus on what they love doing and be rewarded by those who see the value in their work. I’m really excited and all for it!
